WOW POWER LVL NEWS
WoW Engineering Guide Author:admin Date:2/28/2011 Source:http://www.wow-power-lvl.com Engineering is a fun profession which allows players to craft assorted gizmos and contraptions using a variety of parts and explosives! Engineers use reagents which are mostly crafted from minerals, in both ore and bar form, gathered or smelted by Mining. Engineers can craft many devices which include not only equipable items such as trinkets, guns and goggles but also a variety of unique inventions and even explosives! Most engineer-created items can only be used with a required skill level, such as Jeeves, the robotic butler, or combat pets such as Arcanite Dragonling (which even fight for you)! Engineers can also build two unique types of mounts – a rickety but awesome flying machine (Turbo-Charged Flying Machine Control) and a kickin’ motorcycle (Mekgineer’s Chopper or Mechano-Hog) which allows a passenger and has both horde and alliance versions! Engineering is the best combined with Mining. If you level your Engineering with Mining, you will save a lot of gold. Specially when you have to use Mithril and Thorium, because they aren’t hard to find, but they are really expensive at the AH. If you don’t have Mining, you have to buy everything and you will need a lot of gold again. Check out my Mining guide if you want to level your Mining too. However, the fastest way to level Engineering is to buy everything from the Auction House. First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth – just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Engineering. It is important to buy a [Gnomish Army Knife] from the Auction House before you start. It is used to replace Gyromatic Micro-Adjustor, Arclight Spanner and Blacksmith Hammer. If you can’t afford to buy one, you will have to make a Gyromatic Micro-Adjustor and Arclight Spanner while you level your Engineering and you also need to buy a Blacksmith Hammer from the Blacksmith supply vendor, it’s near your trainer.
50 – 125Visit your trainer, and learn Journeyman Engineering.
125 – 205Visit your trainer, and learn Expert Engineering.
205 – 280Visit your trainer and learn Artisan Engineering. Engineering has the option at skill level 200 to specialize in Gnomish or Goblin Engineering. The main difference between both sides is the location of their respective teleporters and the ability of their trinkets. Some items require a specific specialization to use, while other items are crafted by one specialization but are usable by any engineer. Fortunately, most recipes that are crafted by one Specialization can be worn by both.
280 – 350Visit your trainer, and learn Master Engineering.
350 – 425Visit your trainer and learn Grand Master Engineering.
425 – 525Visit your trainer and learn Illustrious Engineering.
