Rift and Invasion EXP Mechanics Tips
1. When doing a Rift or an Invasion, you get a small amount of experience points for killing the enemies in the wave and a large amount of experience points for completing the Invasion or level in the Rift. You also get a reward (RIFT Platinum) for each invasion or level of a Rift you clear. The faster you can complete invasions and rifts, the more experience you will earn. This means that both of these events are best done with very large groups and a large number of enemies.
2. If you are chasing Rifts and trying to solo them, it will take you a while to clear out each Rift. You will not earn a lot of experience from this as much time is lost in between moving from rift to rift and struggling as you try to clear waves. Imagine being in a 20-person public raid during an invasion event. You can clear 10 Rifts or 30+ invasions in an hour’s time and earn massive amounts of experience points, reputation, and rewards. Do not try to solo rifts and do not “rift chase” during groups unless you are doing it for the fun of it.
3. One of the best Rift power leveling tips to remember is that invasions rapidly drop off in the amount of XP they reward if you are above their level. You should always try to seek out Rifts at or slightly above your level to do in groups. These by far provide the best XP. Once you out-level the zone, rift events in that zone provide little reward.
